Its been while since I've updated so I guess I better get to it.
A lot has changed since I last updated. I left the dealership about a week after Eric. It just wasn't worth the drive, I am currently working for a temp agency as a receptionist. Its getting me through the holidays. If they aren't able to keep me staffed at their agency, they are going to place me as a receptionist. Its nice having worked for them, because they know my skills now, and they want to find me something I can enjoy. They mainly staff for medical offices, so although I am not going into a medical field it gets me some medical background. Most medical receptionist they want them to have experience, so I am going to gain experience. However if they can keep me at their office, I would prefer that. I would literally 3 minutes away from home. I leave my apartment at 8:45, clean off the car, and am at work by 8:55. It is wonderful! I didn't even stress for the first big snow storm, I just took the neighborhood roads to get to work.
Eric has been working at the cabinet shop for about a month now. He really seems to be enjoying it. His boss will send him home a few times due to lack of work, but will pay him for the whole day. It is pretty nice. Eric finished up his Medical Terminology class online with BYU-I, HE GOT AN A! I was so happy with that. I can tell that he is dedicated to doing well in school! He is registered for one class this next semester, he can't do more, we have hit the no more online classes, with his degree, he needs to be in class. We are planning on moving to Idaho in early August. We want to stay here for summer, my family tends to do a lot for the summer and we don't want to miss out.
I honestly have to say my favorite time of not working was being with my sister! I spend so much time at Morgans house. I even learned how to crochet! I think she wishes I wouldn't have started. I am always calling her with questions now! I also spend so much time with Tyce he knows who I am and attempts to say Natalie! I love being an aunt but I also wish it was the time for Eric and I to start our own family. However, I don't think either of us are ready. I don't want to share my time with him just yet. I love having the freedom of not having a baby.
Our holidays were so fun! We spend thanksgiving with my family, Eric was able to play some turkey bowl with Derrick and Bobby. No one got hurt, we were all grateful. For Christmas we had Mom Daley come out and stay with us for about 5 days. It was so much fun to be able to show her Salt Lake. We went and saw the light on temple square, and just enjoyed our time together. Eric and I both had to work while she was out here, but it worked out well because Mom was able to get some work done as well.
We had the Bingham Christmas party on the 14th. It was a lot of fun to see Tyce and Lincoln open their presents. We enjoyed some homemade Olive Garden, we just had a great time. Eric and I stayed later than the other (that's what you can do when you don't have babies with bed times) and talked to my mom and dad about their recent trip to Disney World. Eric and I will be making the same trip in August with the Petersen Family. We wanted to hear the, what was worth it and what was a waste of time.
The Petersens were able to come out for Christmas too! I felt so blessed to have all my family in one place. I missed having Carrie and Koda as well as Chad and Nicole. But I was surrounded by family and it was amazing. The Petersens started a new tradition with Nerf Guns, on new years eve we all opened up our Guns, got them all put together, got ready to start shooting and found that our guns didn't work. We had to send Nick and Eric to walgreens to get batteries! After the batteries were in, it was war! We went and saw the light on temple square Christmas night. Kayla, McKay, Andy, Katelyn, Nick, Eric, and I were all playing on the snow that had become ice. It was super fun, but leave it to me to be the one that fell. I hurt my leg and wrist (from catching myself) my leg is fine, but I am still experiencing some wrist pain :(
On Friday we said goodbye to mom. It was so fun having her out where while we did, but Eric and I were happy to have our own bed back. A full size Futon is just not enough room! Saturday we were able to go up Eden and spend some more time with the Petersens, they were able to go snowboarding. I did not! I didn't want to AT ALL, I could just see myself getting more hurt. We played lots of games and just overall had a good time! I just love having family!
Overall life is just so fun! I have often found myself thinking about how lucky I am to have Eric as my husband. I love having someone I know I can count on. He did everything he could to get me to the eye doctor, and I finally have an appointment! (pretty sure this means glasses guys, my eyes are SO bad). Eric also helped me with school. My school Financial Aid, is being AWFUL! and I wasn't going to be able to make it in before they closed for the holidays. Eric went in to see if he could find out why my FASFA hasn't shown up. If I don't have FASFA I won't be going back to school. They wouldn't give him any information. But it meant a lot to me that he was willing to try.
Well I think that is about it for us. I am typing this while at work so I don't have pictures, but next update I promise i'll share!

New Adventures
Well you know the saying "all good things must come to an end" unfortunately i am experiencing an end to a wonderful adventure this week.
Let me explain, When Eric was originally offered his job at willey ford, the pay would be flat rate. (now honestly its too complicated to figure out how to explain that but it wasn't in our best interest) He originally turned down the job and they again offered it to him but this time hourly. Well this last month the dealership has made some changes and unfortunately again they were not in our best interest. Eric was being taken off hourly and put to flat rate. He was fortunate enough to find a job about 2 miles away from our apartment. He will be packaging cabinets and then loading them into his truck and driving them to the drop off place and unloading them. I honestly think this is going to be a great job for him. It is very task oriented and that is the personality Eric has. You give him a task and he needs to see it through. Its very hard for him when he is constantly being pulled off one job to do another. I am not looking forward to the drive to bountiful by myself but i am so excited for this new adventure!
As for my big adventure....I am headed back to school!!! i am so excited to start learning again but at the same time i am scared to death! I am jumping in, 12 credit hours in the spring! It will be a great but stressful semester i am sure. I am just so excited to have a loving husband to help me!
I feel like the Lord is finding ways for us to depend on each other in ways we haven't had to before! Our calling is as wonderful as ever! We just had our primary program and i have to admit it is my favorite sunday of the year! I love when the little kids stand up there and bear witness of our Savior, and what we've been teaching them in primary. From the shy little sunbeams to the confident valiants. i enjoy every moment of it!
We have been suck figuring out the holidays! It is going to be harder to decorate this year with our kitty getting into everything but i still want to try. While cleaning a few weeks ago i found our christmas decorations and it took all my strength not to start decorating. I really want to get into the season with joy and love in our hearts and home!
Well i think that is it for us! Hope this finds you all well!

1 year has come and gone
Well i guess i might as well give an update on us.
Well as I'm sitting here writing this blog i realize that i have some explaining to do. Back in March (i think) i mentioned we were moving to Idaho in August. Well that didn't happen. Although Eric is in school at BYU-I we have stayed in salt lake. We both have good jobs right now and so we are working on putting money into saving and getting prepared for our next adventure :) More details to come later :)
A lot has happened since our last post. Eric went to Oregon for his sisters wedding, i stayed home and celebrated my grandma's 50th wedding anniversary! I enjoyed the time i got to spend with my family i missed my husband and i'm really glad he has no scheduled trips to Oregon without me!
We celebrated our one year anniversary in october. I still can't believe its been a year. My sweet husband spoiled me! First we celebrated by running a 5K! Okay...lets me honest i totally did NOT run it! we were with Chris and Marie and so Eric and Chris took off and Marie and I walked it. This 5K reminded me alot of wipe out! Here are just a few pics from that fun time!
Okay so maybe more than a few... lol! we really enjoyed the run!
We went home and cleaned up and then We went to the anniversary inn. this was a surprise to me. Once again my sister Morgan had helped Eric find a deal to get us a room :) We stayed in the cape cod room. Eric wanted that room because it reminded him of the beach which is where we went on our honeymoon. We ate at the Roof. As i sat and looked at the view of the salt lake temple and then my wonderful husband across at the table i couldn't help but be feeling with overwhelming love. The memories of our wedding day came rushing back and i was the happiest woman alive! We left the roof and took a carriage ride around downtown. It was so wonderful! i couldn't have asked for a better night :)
We have lots of adventures coming up and we are allowing our lives to be in the Lords hands! We constantly learn and grow and i can't help but feel blessed that i have found my soul mate and eternal companion who at times drives me crazy, but is always there for my crazy adventures!
Well i guess that wasn't a ton about us, but at least it was an update!

Learning to "Come what may and love it"
To be quite honest this is kind of a hard blog for me to write because as i write it i am realizing just how hard life has been lately, and that i haven't been handling it well.
I don't want to really go into detail about my trials because they are still going and i am working on being happy. But this last week i have really felt like someone has been holding me under water and expecting me to survive. For those of you who really know me i don't handle major changes coming drastically in my life, they tend to send me into anxiety attacks. Well this happened this last week and i have not handled it well...at all! I haven't been sleeping. This last week i all but fell asleep on Eric and i's date night saturday from exhaustion. I have also looked at these changes as negative. I have complained until my face was blue, to just about anyone that would listen. I even wrote my friend on a mission complaining about things.
THIS IS ABOUT TO STOP!!! To every situation i know there is a positive! I know this! I've lived this and now its time to relearn it!
This month in primary we have really been talking about service and it wasn't today that it hit me that these lessons were for me! That if i really wanted to get out from under my personal dunking then i needed to help someone else up! My kids teach me so much in my class. more than i could even begin to explain! I love them so much! I look forward to seeing them every sunday and i look forward to more lessons they are going to teach me.
I have a wonderful husband who is very good at signing me up for stuff without talking to me. Today it was a couple of things. 1. we signed up for feeding the missionaries without knowing what to feed them. We were planning on having sandwiches for dinner. Eric made pancakes and i enjoyed the hour we got to have with the Elders and with the Sisters. As i talked to these missionaries who were my age, that put there life on hold to serve our Lord i realized i didn't need to be a missionary to do this myself. All i needed to do is look around and find someone i could help.
The other thing Eric signed me up for was cleaning the Salt Lake Temple on Friday night. I am worried about exhaustion again by friday (which just means i need to behave myself when it comes to going to bed this week) and be prepared. I am so excited for this opportunity it is not everyday you get the opportunity to serve MULTIPLE people as well as clean God's temple!
So this is my goal. I am going to go back to being my positive self! Look for the positive in every situation and LOVE MY LIFE! because i am blessed to be where i am :) I am blessed to have those around me to love and support me. My other goal is to LOOSE myself in others and not in my own trials.
Enjoy every moment that God gives you on this precious earth and you know what else

Joy in the Journey
Day 1
Today i started a new cleaning routine. It was posted on facebook and when i saw it i thought it was easily done. Well this is how i look after day one.
I know, not the best picture but honestly i couldn't wait to get off my feet! Eric dropped me off at home (he was headed to the library) and i got started on the dishes. I loaded as much as i could into the dishwasher and knew there was going to be a second load (we are horrible at doing the dishes) then i got started on dinner. I made beef and broccoli. It was pretty tasty.
So my new cleaning routine is this ----->
It doesn't look that hard, and probably after the first week it won't be. But playing catch up is hard. So after my long hours of slaving in the kitchen this is what it looked like
After that we went to find us some sand, we had alot of fun but Joss i think had the most fun! She decided to make a sand angel...face down!

We were just a little worried about our rental car and the sand. We also decided to make a sand castle. Just as Eric would dump the sand out Joss would come with the seaweed decoration and smash it into the tower...which resulted in smashing the tower. I decided to write my own message in the sand :)
We were also visited by a couple of friends of the Ocean. I thought it was super cool and HAD to take picture :)

Now my chore of the day was the bathroom fortunately we have a small bathroom otherwise i think i would have given up.
It didn't take very long to clean and looks good :)
Now for our fun side of what we have been up too. While since i last posted we took a trip out to Oregon for my brother-in-laws wedding. It was really fun and great to see everyone out there. It was so good to see Mom again and to be able to give hugs! I am still very jealous that Eric has been out there so much this year. On our trip we took our friends 5 or 6 year old (i don't know which sorry Shelley & Dan) to the coast with us. We didn't have much time because we needed to be the Chad and Nicole's rehearsal dinner, but we still had lots of fun. We went out to Tillamook and got cheese and jerky :) And who could resist having some of the AMAZING ice cream :)

We enjoyed our time in Oregon and at the wedding, although we didn't get very many pictures I was able to snap this one of us. We just looked so good :)
Since then we haven't been up to too much trouble! I am going to start out a probation period at work, we are trying to get me to full time, so i am going to be working with our office manager in the morning and then doing what im already doing in the afternoon, I am excited to see how well this goes, and am grateful for Heavenly Father's hand in my life. I have had the opportunity to go to the temple the last week, almost everyday. I could see a huge difference in my everyday life as I had someone helping me along the way :) Its amazing how just a couple hours out of your busy life can make such a difference in the long run.
We went on a date night saturday night. We went to Chili's then played Mini Golf (we had recently gone to see a movie and they gave us tickets to go play a free game of mini golf within a month of seeing the movie) It was really fun! Here are just a few glimpses of our night.
Over all we had a great time. I just love learning more about my husband as we grow together. I can't believe our year mark is in just a month (and a few days) I fall more and more in love with him as we grow each day!
