Joy in the Journey

Day 1

Today i started a new cleaning routine. It was posted on facebook and when i saw it i thought it was easily done. Well this is how i look after day one.
EXHAUSTED!
I know, not the best picture but honestly i couldn't wait to get off my feet! Eric dropped me off at home (he was headed to the library) and i got started on the dishes. I loaded as much as i could into the dishwasher and knew there was going to be a second load (we are horrible at doing the dishes) then i got started on dinner. I made beef and broccoli. It was pretty tasty.

So my new cleaning routine is this ----->
It doesn't look that hard, and probably after the first week it won't be. But playing catch up is hard. So after my long hours of slaving in the kitchen this is what it looked like
Not to bad., i still have a few dishes but there wasn't any room in the dishwasher.

Now my chore of the day was the bathroom fortunately we have a small bathroom otherwise i think i would have given up.
It didn't take very long to clean and looks good :)

Now for our fun side of what we have been up too. While since i last posted we took a trip out to Oregon for my brother-in-laws wedding. It was really fun and great to see everyone out there. It was so good to see Mom again and to be able to give hugs! I am still very jealous that Eric has been out there so much this year. On our trip we took our friends 5 or 6 year old (i don't know which sorry Shelley & Dan) to the coast with us. We didn't have much time because we needed to be the Chad and Nicole's rehearsal dinner, but we still had lots of fun. We went out to Tillamook and got cheese and jerky :) And who could resist having some of the AMAZING ice cream :)
YUMMY!
After that we went to find us some sand, we had alot of fun but Joss i think had the most fun! She decided to make a sand angel...face down!

We were just a little worried about our rental car and the sand. We also decided to make a sand castle. Just as Eric would dump the sand out Joss would come with the seaweed decoration and smash it into the tower...which resulted in smashing the tower. I decided to write my own message in the sand :)

We were also visited by a couple of friends of the Ocean. I thought it was super cool and HAD to take picture :)

We enjoyed our time in Oregon and at the wedding, although we didn't get very many pictures I was able to snap this one of us. We just looked so good :)

I couldn't get enough of this view!

Since then we haven't been up to too much trouble! I am going to start out a probation period at work, we are trying to get me to full time, so i am going to be working with our office manager in the morning and then doing what im already doing in the afternoon, I am excited to see how well this goes, and am grateful for Heavenly Father's hand in my life. I have had the opportunity to go to the temple the last week, almost everyday. I could see a huge difference in my everyday life as I had someone helping me along the way :) Its amazing how just a couple hours out of your busy life can make such a difference in the long run.

We went on a date night saturday night. We went to Chili's then played Mini Golf (we had recently gone to see a movie and they gave us tickets to go play a free game of mini golf within a month of seeing the movie) It was really fun! Here are just a few glimpses of our night.

So its starts :)
I'm really bad at this!

Over all we had a great time. I just love learning more about my husband as we grow together. I can't believe our year mark is in just a month (and a few days) I fall more and more in love with him as we grow each day!

Where has the time gone?

Wow its been such a long time since i have updated, sorry everyone.

Well Lets see since my last blog post i was in a car accident, let me see if i can try to explain what happened. So i was parked at my sisters curb and i wanted to just make a u-turn (because i needed to head the other direction) i was about 3/4 done with my u-turn when out of the corner of my eye i see a motorcycle like RIGHT THERE! next thing i knew i had been hit. He ran into the Drivers side back tire! at first we both seemed fine but after Eric and I got home i could tell i wasn't as fine as i thought! i was in major back pain, the next day Eric took me to the doctor, after the X-ray we knew it wasn't anything serious but that my pain was just going to get worse! i got a prescription for a massage and that really helped! We got a call about 3 weeks after the accident letting us know that the insurance believed it was the other guys fault. They are trying to get our deductible from the other insurance. But honestly i don't care, i am just glad that our premium wont be going up.

So this all happened on a Tuesday.
On Friday i had a friend going through the temple for the first time so i wanted to be there. I got home and had the impression to take my temple bag inside with me, but i wanted to go to the bountiful temple after work on saturday so i left it in there. Saturday when i went to get in the car it had been broken into. At first it appeared that nothing had been taken, but while i was at work i received a call from a very nice police officer. He told me that he believed he had some personal belongings of mine and that if i could tell him what it was i could have it back. Well like i said i didn't think that anything had been taken. So he asked me if i kept any bags in my car. Well I am a woman i don't know what i have in my car or not! So then he asked if i was affiliated with the LDS church, after that question i knew what was missing. He didn't want to book it in because then it would take weeks for me to get it so instead he brought it to me. The people who broke in ditched it not even a quarter mile away from our apartment. Fortunately  for me i keep my recommend in there and they were able to get it back to me with nothing missing.

Eric took another trip to Oregon to get the motorcycle but this time it would be a success. My parents could tell that Eric was slightly upset he couldn't get it out here so my dad took a couple of days off, they left on a Sunday and came back on Tuesday, but they went out and picked it up. Spending Monday in Portland letting Eric show off his home town. It was great when they came back to see the bond they shared. Eric posted on facebook when they left that most people would think that 13+ hours in the car with just you and your in laws would be horible!  but he was enjoying himself!

We are still enjoying working together, it is so nice to take a lunch with him and to have him there when i need a question answered. My plans were thrown off slightly when i was told i can't wait in our service waiting room for Eric to get off work, but i have decided to look at it as Heavenly Fathers way of telling me that i needed to go the temple more often. The first day i went to go to the temple after this i drove up and saw they sign that said "Temple closed till Aug 6" Well that threw my plans off for that day...so i decided i wanted a pedicure!
I guess my big news for the month and work is that i helped sell 2 trucks! We make phone calls to people letting them know that we are in need of there vehicle and that we could get them into a new vehicle keeping there payments about the same. I had 2 people come in for their appointments and buy a new truck! It was so exciting! I couldn't believe the thrill that came from it! Eric continues to learn more. At least thats what i assume he comes home blacker everyday! He seems to enjoy it. The hardest part is he comes home tired and i feel bad!

We celebrated our first July 4th together like we did last year, yet a little different. Eric and the other son-in-laws decided they were going to camp out in our parade spot to be sure my dad would get the shade. Morgan and Kylie were going to stay at my parents so they could have help with the babies, so i decided to join in the fun, at about 2 i woke up to a light show and THUNDER! I texted Eric and they weren't really getting the rain yet. Mom had to get on the phone though and tell them to pack up. as they were getting the last of the stuff in the car it really started coming down where they were. For the first time ever my parents had all their family sleeping under the same roof (well since the marriages lol!) We watched the parade, had our BBQ, and then our water fight. It was such a great day!

I enjoyed being able to go to the Bingham family reunion but unfortunately Eric was unable to join me, but we did have a enjoyable time as we slept at Morgans house!

I continue to marvel as how much my life has change, This month marked one year since Eric proposed to me back in July. As i watched the video, i can't help but notice how happy i am and how much i have changed! I am working on making our house a home, and learning so much through my husbands example! It is so great to watch Eric with our primary class and see how he gets excited to teach them, its not scouts but he still does a fantastic job! He is challenging us to get into shape! we are going to go on a hike once a week!

We look forward to our trip to Oregon next week! I am so excited that it is finally here. Now there is just the matter of fitting everything in, in just the short amount of time we are there!

Well i think thats about it for us!
