I love my life! I can't think of anything better than my life right now.
Okay so there could be some things better, if i was pregnant, had unlimited supply of money, if Eric was done with school. But lets me honest. Not having those things is shaping us into who we are. By not having money we are learning how to budget. Its these years that will help us teach our kids how to handle finances. School is a huge step and having someone to be there all the time is going to be amazing! and as for being pregnant, well i know its not for us right now but it still would be nice to have my own family. In the meantime, i am enjoying doing things now that i can't do once we start having kids :)
So fun experiences this week? Haggling with a pawn shop guy :) that was quite the adventure. So for Eric's new job we have quite a few tools to buy, because it isn't what he is going to do for the rest of his life we aren't buying new. We ave been spending time in pawn shops trying to find the best deal. Well Wednesday we went out and stopped at a few places, one shop had quite a few things we needed, so Eric was going to try to bundle. I told him not to go any higher than 35. When we went to pay Eric said "what will you do for this bundled" and the guy replies "hmmmm 35?" GREAT! i was so excited! i told the guy i was prepared to haggle but he said the price i wanted to pay! after that he said it was 40! i looked at him and said...NO 35! haha that was my haggling but it was so fun! We still have a few things to get but things are starting to come together!
Monday, I got a call saying my background check was good and all i needed to do was take the drug test, knowing that if Eric was going to work there too then he would have to take one too i waited to go in, sure enough Eric called and accepted the job and we headed up to bountiful! So our Family Home Evening consisted of Peeing in a cup! we both passed our drug test (surprise surprise;) )
Friday was my first day on the job, it was great! i have a lot to learn but i really like who i work with! Friday was also an ROTC dinner for Chris and Marie, so i went and got Marie and prettied up for it (it wasn't hard she is already BEAUTIFUL!) then we babysat Ethan. We played candy land, which was so fun! he had never played before. As all of you know winning candy land is all chance. so the first game Eric won. Ethan was a really good sport. and we decided to play again. Eric won... So we played again. I won... So we played again. Eric Won. So do you see our delema where is a game of chance and We need to find a way for this little boy to win! Ethan had to go to the bathroom during the 5th game so we stacked the deck with the people cards to put Ethan ahead and Eric and I behind. but that still wasn't enough! i kept getting the double cards and soon caught up to ethan and passed him a couple of times. After that Eric took over the deck and would make sure ethan got the double cards and i got single ones. HE WON! finally Ethan got to win! we stopped playing after that. We looked for more games and decided on Go fish! which is just as fun! but poor Ethan. (who is only 5) couldn't hold all the cards. It was so sweet watching my adorable husband go over and put ethan on his lap and hold the cards so they could play together! i was so happy! i couldn't help but see our future! Ethan won 2 games of Go fish or in his words "GOLD FISH!" after that we put ethan to bed and watched wreck it ralph! however i had a craving for snickers. Eric being the sweet husband that he is endured about an hour of me asking for snickers before he went and got some for me ;) about 8 of them (yes i still have some don't worry!)
Dinners were pretty simple this week, I made teriyaki meatballs, chicken chimichungas, sweet and salty chicken, and stir fry! learning and trying new things the meatballs were really yummy! i didn't like the chimichungas! we had the chicken before and it was a little better this time. and there are no left overs from the stir fry!
Eric and I got a calling in our new ward and next sunday watch out for the announcement of what it is!! (super excited!) and we are speaking in church on sunday!
Hope you all have a great one!!!
