Goodness why does it seem like some weeks just speed by while others take forever to get to the weekend?
Well this was a good week for me and Eric. Monday night we decided to have a date night. Eric's suggestion. We had already had dinner, (although now that im blogging i can't remember what we had!) but it was yummy i'm sure.. OH! i think it was burrito's :) anyway so after that Eric suggested date night and he decided to feed my weakness and take me to nickel mania. Now me at nickel mania is a bad idea because i usually spend more then i want...but we did it anyway and boy was it fun! we emptied our change jar so we could have extra nickels and off we went. If i ever do penny slots i think that we will go broke because i just love it! Eric was the big ticket maker! I got to do the dancing game, then Eric and i played a gun game (i didn't really like it so i only played a few rounds with him) when all our nickels were gone we got to spend our tickets. ooo side track!
I ran into a guy there who said that he had just got a washer and dryer from his tickets. He said he probably turns in half a million tickets every 3 months. He goes to the nickel places everyday and plays the high ticket games. it was so crazy! i couldn't even imagine how much he really spent to get that washer and dryer.
ANYWAY so when eric and i were spending our tickets Eric got an awesome green recorder. He had been wanting one for a long time so now he has one, now he wants to get recorder books. I think we have some at my parents from when we were growing up but i just love how cute my husband is! we also got a ball for my adorable nephew who LOVES it! its spiky so its not like a normal ball and he just carried it around ooing and laughing! I got a key chain. So now i have a memory of our night :) Eric says that i am ridiculous for wanting one. But to be honest i love it! It was such a great night had by all and i don't want to forget it :) Then we spent the rest of our tickets on fruities :) YUM!
I had a goal to stay current on dishes this week, and i have done a pretty good job! Its nice knowing they aren't piling up in the sink, doing them everyday makes less work actually. Now i just need to do laundry. Its been some time since i've done that. My goal when i get home from work today is to sweep and mop the kitchen, do the dishes, and finish the laundry today. As well as i need to plan our lesson plan for primary tomorrow. I also want to make cookies for those who participate in class.
This week i also wanted to make sure i cooked dinner, the first week after i started my job i don't think i cooked at all. i think we ate out that whole week. So i was going to be better. I made a beef and broccoli that was surprisingly tasty. I also made a sweet and spicy bacon wrapped chicken. YUM! it was so tasty as well. We had breakfast for dinner, and burrito's. :) I am learning to love the kitchen and am loving life in general.
So Eric and i have gone about 2 weeks of working together, and to be quite honest i love it! we get to take our lunches together, we started listening to book on CD's on the way to and from work, since we have about a 20 minute drive. I get to pick the book on CD and to be quite honest i really love the LDS authors. Sure enough Eric is enjoying them too. We heat up our lunch and take it out to the car so we can continue to listen to it! I love the time i have with him. Although the wait from when i get off work to when he gets off work can be painful! I get off at either 1 or 2 (if i don't take a lunch) if i do take a lunch then its 2-3 depending on the week. Then i have to wait until 5 for Eric to get off work. The bountiful temple isn't too far away but i haven't taken the opportunity to go yet. It is something on my to-do list. I usually bring my laptop and sit in the waiting room watching netflix. But the time we have together makes the wait worth it!
I do have to say i love having family. Wednesday my sister called and told me she went though her clothes and had a pile for me! I love morgan's taste in clothes and was so excited. Eric and i ended up staying there until about 8:30 catching up with them. We have both agreed we need to get together more often. I love having my sister so close that we can still get together and hang out! Plus her son is SO cute! he has started pillow fighting he will pick up a pillow and run towards you! I can't believe that he is turning one at the end of this month! being an aunt is such a great feeling! Everytime i play with him i can't help but wait for the time when i get to have my own! Plus my sister is such a great mom! she lets him climb all over her! they sweep the kitchen together. He tackles her, they just have so much fun! seeing my sister interact with her little one just makes me hope i can be half the the mom she is because she is so amazing!!
